HISTORY

Obermeier Sheykhet Architecture grew from a shared desire to be a client-focused design firm. The firm's roots were formed while the principals were members of OZ Architecture, one of the largest architectural firms in the Western region of the United States.

Tom Obermeier is CEO of Obermeier Sheykhet Architecture. Formerly CEO and a founding member of OZ, Tom has practiced architecture for over 40 years and holds licenses in ten states. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Architecture and a Masters Degree in Urban Design.

Tom invented the Gail Curtain Wall System, the Cygnus Curtain Wall System and holds the patent on the Gygnus System, Patent No. 4,506,482. He frequently acts as a consultant to building skin designers.

Aleksandr Sheykhet, also formerly with OZ, is president of Obermeier Sheykhet Architecture. A licensed architect with 12 years of experience, he has a Masters Degree in Architecture.

Both Tom and Aleksandr have received numerous awards for their designs.
