Each element was carefully designed, planned, and engineered in a great effort to
express the essence of Qatar.
The design of the Passenger
Terminal facilites are an
emblematic showcase
of Qatar culture. The
Terminal facility profile and
supporting masts of the
Ticketing Hall roof are clearly
inspired by the traditional
wooden Dhow. The cultural
integration continues with
richly detailed patterns
used on floors, walls and
exterior glass. Even the
curving forms of the massive
windswept sand dunes of
Qatar's inland sea provide
inspiration for the gentle
curves of the Terminal
Complex.
